We are excited to welcome communications veteran Niel Levonius to illumy. As Vice President of Product, Niel brings nearly two decades of experience to the team and will lead product strategy, product marketing, and product management—and help make illumy the best in the world.
Niel comes to us most recently from Zoom, where he served as the Product Marketing Lead for Zoom Phone. Prior to that, he was Senior Director of Product Marketing at 8×8, where he worked alongside illumy CEO Matt McGinnis.
But his path to illumy began nearly a decade ago at RingCentral, where he served as Director of Product Marketing—and where Niel first met and worked with Matt and many others on the illumy leadership and marketing teams.
“I’ve been passionate about illumy since the beginning, and I’ve been looking forward to joining the team full time,” said Niel.
At illumy, he will be in charge of product lifecycle management—from concept to launch—and will drive innovation with a strong focus on user feedback to improve the illumy experience. He’ll also help determine pricing, packaging, and competitive positioning for illumy’s offerings.
His teammates are also not-so-secretly hoping that Niel will show off his world-class musical 🎵 skills. An accomplished professional trumpet player, 🎺 Niel has played with many notable acts, including Garth Brooks, Jimmy Buffett, Seal, and The Temptations.
